Andhra Pradesh: Woman arrested after viral video shows her beating up 18-month-old son
A 22-year-old woman has been arrested by the Tamil Nadu Police for beating up her eighteen-month-old son.
A special team of police from Tamil Nadu on Sunday arrested a 22-year-old woman from Chittoor in Andhra Pradesh for beating up her eighteen-month-old son.
The incident sparked outrage on social media after the videos of Thulasi mercilessly beating her child went viral.
Vadivazhagan had married 22-year-old Thulasi five years ago and the couple was staying at Mottur village in Tamil Nadu. They have two children, Gokul (4) and Pradeep (2).
However, Vadivazhagan and Thulasi had constant arguments, which eventually forced him to leave Thulasi with her parents in Andhra Pradesh.
It is suspected that Thulasi tortured her son for her boyfriend.
When Thulasi’s relatives saw videos of her hitting her child on her phone, they immediately informed Vadivazhagan about them.
The heart-wrenching videos show Thulasi brutally beating her 18-months-old old baby with her fist. Her blows were so hard that the baby started to bleed from the nose and mouth. Shockingly, Thulasi used to hit her child often and had also recorded it on her mobile phone.
In another video, Thulasi was seen hammering the child's leg with her fist, and in another one she showed her child's back which had red patches due to the brutal beating.
