National Lok Adalat across Telangana on Dec 11

Hyderabad: Telangana State Legal Services Authority (TSLSA) has scheduled the National Lok Adalat in all courts across Telangana on December 11, following the proposal from National Legal Services Authority to hold the National Lok Adalat all over the country at all levels from Supreme Court to Taluq Court.

National Lok Adalat is conducted for speedy and amicable settlement of all civil and compoundable criminal cases without any expenditure/fees and even court fees paid in pending cases will be refunded if the matter is settled through Lok Adalat.

MV Ramesh, member secretary, Telangana State Legal Services Authority, in a statement said, “persons who are willing to settle their pending cases or pre-litigation cases, can approach the chairman/secretary of District Legal Services Authority or Nyaya Seva Sadan in District Court Complex of respective Districts to get their dispute resolved through National Lok Adalat.”

3,966 petty cases settled in pre-Lok Adalat

A total of 3,966 e-petty cases were settled at the pre-Lok Adalat held at the Rachakonda Police Commissionerate on Saturday. As per the schedule, the pre Lok-Adalat was organised by the Metropolitan Sessions Judge Ranga Reddy and District and Sessions Judge Nalgonda. Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat was also present. He appreciated the investigation staff and legal team for their efforts in getting the cases settled.
