Hyderabad Locals plant trees in potholes Hans News Service | 2 Dec 2019 12:29 AM IST ADVERTISEMENT Kukatpally: In a bid to highlight the problem of potholes in the city, a group of residents in Pragati Nagar area staged a unique protest by 'planting trees' in large potholes on the roads. After the successful pothole plantation in Peerzadiguda on November 17, this was the second instance where the residents came forward to intimate the civic authorities in a unique way. Prashanth Mamidala, who started the trend of pothole plantation, shared, "The roads have been damaged a lot but the officials seem to be sleeping over the issues. Even the people seem to be least worried. Hope the authorities and people wake to the situation and make the lives better. Around 15 people from all walks of life volunteered for the drive followed by the plantation drive. A certificate of appreciation was given to all the commuters commuting from the stretch which read, "Congratulations for becoming an expert in driving by navigating through difficult terrains on Pragati Nagar roads without any accidents."
