Police Name KTR’s Brother-in-Law Raj Pakala in Drug Case as A1

Telangana police have expanded their case against Raj Pakala, brother-in-law of BRS leader K.T. Rama Rao, following a raid on his farmhouse in Janwada that led to drug-related charges. Initially booked only under excise violations, Pakala now faces charges under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, according to a First Information Report (FIR) filed by the Mokila police.
The FIR details that on October 26, Mokila police received credible information about a party at Pakala’s farmhouse involving unauthorized foreign liquor and drugs. Acting on this, a raid was organized by Narsingi police, Special Operations Team (SOT), and excise officials. Upon arrival, police observed a gathering of 22 men and 16 women, some of whom attempted to flee but were apprehended by officers.
During the raid, the police conducted drug tests on attendees. Vijay Madduri, the CEO of Fusion AIX Software and an associate of Pakala, tested positive for cocaine. According to police, Madduri disclosed that Pakala had invited him to the party and encouraged him to consume cocaine.
The search of the farmhouse, carried out in the presence of mediators, yielded several items, including poker coins and sets of playing cards. Three aluminum briefcases containing poker paraphernalia and 17 bottles of unauthorized liquor were also seized by the excise department.
The police have filed FIR against Raj Pakala under the NDPS Act for alleged involvement in drug case, while additional case related to liquor violations have also been registered. Further investigation is underway.
