Sub: HMDA lake id 3802  chinna cheruvu ramantapur - Open gym equipment installed inside FTL boundary of the lake - 

Ref: 1-  Notice to District WALTA authority, Medchal malkajgiri district dt. 24 june 2020; 

2- Representations and appeals to all responsible officials thru whatsapp/twitter/emails/phone calls on multiple occasions.

3- Lokayukta ordered inspection of Chinna cheruvu ramantapur conducted in early 2014.

Dear Lokayukta,

Greetings of good health and peace.

Its appalling that a health catastrophe such as Covid19 could not teach officials/elected representatives the importance of conservation of water bodies.

Please peruse our representations  july 2020 and earlier  attached.  In spite of repeated appeals from Ramantapur Fishermen society, Praja Sankalpam, Save Our Urban Lakes, VOICE-Voice of Indian Citizens Everywhere, United Citizens Forum and Socialist Party(India), officials and elected representatives MLA/Corporators went ahead with installing gym equipment inside the FTL boundary of the Chinna cheruvu ramantapur on 5 july 2020.

A) EQUIPMENT INSTALLED ON 5 JULY 2020 FOR OPEN GYM INSIDE FTL BOUNDARY  @17.39388275, 78.53952025

B)  LAKE BEING FILLED AROUND ITS PERIMETER IN THE NAME OF 'WALKING ROAD AND DEVELOPMENT'.

Prayer:

1- Eviction of open gym and all the equipment;

2- notify FTL boundary map with geo -coordinates; 

3- Chalk out plan for Restoration of the lake in terms of its area, purity of water and volume/storage capacity of the lake.  

4- Identify incursions into lake how lake was reduced from 11.03 hectares(27.25 acres) vide HUDA notifiation 4.1.2000 to 11.451 hectares in 12.11.2013.

5- Proceed against authorities/public representatives who brazenly supported/encroached the lake against the constitution of India they took oath on.

Please render justice.
