A female journalist being asked for proof of pregnancy when she went to cover the festivities at Balkampet Yellamma temple in #Hyderabad #Telangana. Apparently, when the cops shoved her away while she was on duty, she told them that she is pregnant and then the cops on duty asked her to “prove her pregnancy”!

TDP cadre protest at Deccan Chronicle office in #Visakhapatnam #AndhraPradesh. The protesters apparently ransacked the furniture, burnt the name board terrorizing the employees - all because of an article about Vizag Steel Plant privatization. 

The #Telangana government did file an FIR on me for my tweet “about a woman’s tweet on power cuts”! 

The INTOLERANCE levels of the newly formed governments is astounding. 

DEAR POLITICAL PARTIES- you don’t like a news article or a tweet send a rejoinder. Don’t resort to measures like filing FIRs, manhandling journalists or ransacking media offices. I know it is tough, but try to act civilized & not like goons 😊😊!

DEAR MEDIA- try to stick together. An attack on one is an attack on the entire fraternity. Trying to side with the government and putting down fellow journalists doesn’t help. Your silence only empowers these people to come for everyone of us. Governments come and go, journalists will be here! And we have to keep questioning the governments come what may!

SI of Police who allegedly ‘attacked’ an advocate.

Advocates in Telangana have decided to abstain from the courts demanding suspension of an Assistant Sub Inspector of Police who allegedly ‘attacked’ an advocate.

Federation for the Bar Associations of Telangana president Y Kondal Reddy said “we strongly condemn the unlawful acts of Police and also we demand the D.G.P. to suspend the A.S.I. Uma Reddy of Siddipet-II Town Police Station immediately by withdrawing the case registered against our brother Advocate M. Ravi Kumar by Siddipet-I Town Police Station. Otherwise we will take serious action against the Police.

We have decided to abstaining the works of all the Courts of our Telangana State on 11-7-2024”

తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర డీజీపీగా జితేందర్‌ నియామకయ్యారు. ఈ మేరకు ప్రభుత్వం బుధవారం ఉత్తర్వులు జారీ చేసింది. ప్రస్తుతం డీజీపీగా కొనసాగుతున్న రవిగుప్తాను హోంశాఖ ప్రత్యేక ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శిగా బదిలీ చేసింది. జితేందర్‌ 1992 బ్యాచ్‌కు చెందిన ఐపీఎస్ అధికారి. ఆయన ఉమ్మడి ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్‌లో నిర్మల్ ఏఎస్పీగా పని చేశారు. ఆ తర్వాత బెల్లంపల్లి అదనపు ఎస్పీగా విధులు నిర్వర్తించారు. నక్సల్స్ ప్రభావం ఎక్కువగా ఉన్న మహబూబ్‌నగర్, గుంటూరు జిల్లాకు ఎస్పీగానూ సేవలందించారు. ఢిల్లీలో సీబీఐలో కొంతకాలం పనిచేశారు. 2004-06 మధ్య గ్రేహౌండ్స్ బాధ్యతలుచేపట్టారు. విశాఖపట్నం రేంజ్ డీఐజీగా బాధ్యతలు నిర్వర్తించారు. తెలంగాణ ఉద్యమం సమయంలో వరంగల్ రేంజ్ డీఐజీగా పనిచేశారు. ఏపీ సీఐడీ, ఎంక్వైరీ కమిషన్, విజిలెన్స్ అండ్ ఎన్ఫోర్స్‌మెంట్‌లో పని చేశారు.  హైదరాబాద్ కమిషనరేట్‌లో అదనపు ట్రాఫిక్‌ కమిషనర్‌, తెలంగాణ శాంతిభద్రతల విభాగం అదనపు డీజీపీగా, జైళ్లశాఖ డీజీగా పని చేశారు. ప్రస్తుతం ఆయన హోంశాఖ ముఖ్య కార్యదర్శిగా కొనసాగుతున్నారు. వచ్చే ఏడాది సెప్టెంబర్‌లో పదవీ విరమణ చేయనున్నారు.
