It has been wrongly reported in a section of the media that, the cheques CM Sri KCR distributed to the families of deceased farmers who lost their lives during the farmers’ agitation, could not be encashed when presented in the banks.On 22nd May, 2022 Hon’ble CM distributed 1,010 Cheques to 709 families of deceased farmers from Punjab and Haryana. When the matter was enquired into it was learnt that 814 cheques have already been encashed by the families of the deceased farmers.Other beneficiaries have not presented the cheques in their respective banks within the stipulated period of 3 months. Telangana Govt. instructed the banks to revalidate all such cheques.Mr Ram Singh, Jt. Secretary, Revenue Dept. may be contacted on 9581992577 for any further assistance. The Govt. of Telangana firmly stands by the families of the departed farmers in this moment of grief and is committed that this measure of support reaches the concerned families.
