 Condemnation by Concerned Citizens from across India and Demand for Immediate and Exemplary Action

*To, The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Telangana State*

We, the concerned citizens from different states from across India strongly and unequivocally condemn the dastardly attach on Dr. C.S. Rangarajan, Head Priest of Sri Chilkur Balaji Temple near Hyderabad in Telangana State.

*According to a Press Statement by Dr. M.V. Soundararajan,* father of Dr. Rangarajan and former Head Priest, *“a group of over 20 persons led by Veera Raghava Reddy of Society of Ram Rajya entered their house on 7th February 2025 and seriously manhandled and landed blows” on his son Dr. C.S. Rangarajan who had to be treated for internal injuries at a hospital*.

The Archaka of the Deity was also assaulted. 

The Press Release continues to say that *“a few individuals who proclaimed themselves as descendants of the Ikshwaku Clan and want to form Rama Rajya in which they create private armies to punish the people who do not accept their mission or agenda* have not understood the concept of Constitutional Rama Rayja”. 

This is unthinkable and an extremely dangerous development where a renowned and highly respected Priest of a most revered temple is assaulted and forced to follow an agenda that is unacceptable to him.

 *If such trends are allowed to continue, common people can become exposed to unprecedented violence making society unsafe and unlivable for all.*

We demand that immediate and exemplary action should be initiated against all members of Society for Rama Rajya who were involved directly or indirectly and *all such extremist movements and actions have to be contained immediately by the State and Central Governments in the interest of people, society and the country.*
