Save Telangana media from an 'alien evil force': A viral message in Telangana journalist groups 

Telangana journalists fume over the dominance of a non-Telangana 'media broker' under the Congress rule 👇

Achieving statehood for Telangana was an arduous journey. The Telangana press and media has played a significant role by supporting the ‘mighty ‘Telangana protagonist K Chandrashekhar Rao during the second phase Telangana movement. 

Going into the past, the Andhra dominated Telugu media has created every hurdle in propagating the message of the importance of formation of Telangana state at every level during the second phase Telangana movement led by KCR. 

The committed Telangana journalists  thwarted  every  political conspiracy hatched by the anti Telangana media to weaken the Telangana struggle. With the support of KCR, the Telangana journalists formed unions and fought for Telangana state. 

After the formation of Telangana state, the Telangana journalists and media outlets got their due recognition during the 10 year KCR regime. 

The services of senior Journalists were recognized and they have been entrusted with the responsibility of addressing the grievances of Telangana journalists and media houses by appointing them in media related government organizations. 

The existence of Telangana journalists and media organisations started waning fast  in the end of 2023 ever since the Congress assumed power in the state. 

The role of influential Andhra media managements resumed their domination in the affairs of the state government. 

Apart from capturing the power corridors, the Andhra dominated media started exploiting state financial resources by grabbing the major portion of advertising revenues. 

On the other hand, the role of an influential non-Telangana 'media broker' started dictating the entire Telangana media by assuming a top post in the key state  Information and Public Relations department. 

The Congress government rolled out a red carpet for the wheeler dealer. The media broker started devising  special schemes to benefit a section of media which was against the Telangana State formation earlier. 

The media broker during his tenure as editor of a reputed news paper exploited his position for personal  gains and indulged in mudslinging on anti Congress parties and leaders through ‘sullied and sinful’ articles against Telangana.   

Recognizing his 'unethical, nefarious, wicked and scandalous' media  practices, the ‘satanic’ Congress rulers entrusted the fraudulent anti-Telangana force with key responsibilities to manage the entire state media. 

Here, the media broker's true colours came out. The main agenda of the media broker is to suppress the sincere Telangana born journalists from discharging their duties and promote anti-Telangana journalists to debilitate the spirit of Telangana on all fronts. 

It is clear that the appointment of a media broker in a  big position of State Director to Media and Press is a big conspiracy to decimate the deep rooted Telangana media which always stood by people and strong  pro Telangana forces.  

The media broker’s inefficiency was already exposed  when he committed a blunder in the powerpoint presentation on the Musi project at a big press conference attended by CM, minister, top officials and consultancy agencies.  

Strong criticism already abound for promoting an incapable media broker to a level of Director in a key department. He was a mere press note writer and translator during the CM’s recent foreign visits.           

The newly appointed  big shot in the  Information and Public Relations department was neither Telangana descendant nor took part in the Telangana movement. In fact, he always played the role of a conspirator against Telangana forces who fought for a separate Telangana. 

Lastly, Telangana people fought and achieved a separate state to get rid of the exploitation of Andhra rulers and claim their share in the jobs in the new state.  

Against the will of the separate state, the Congress government appointed a non Telangana ‘sordid’ person as the head of the state Media by violating all the recruitment norms.

As a result, scores of eligible sincere and senior I and PR officials, who hailed from Telangana and also fought for separate state, were denied the opportunity to ascend to the top position in one of the important government departments in the state.
