Dear Friends,

I, Dr Lubna Sarwath am contesting for Corporator from 72-Asifnagar Ward in GHMC elections 2020 to be held on 1 dec 2020.

I hold a Ph.D from trisakti university, Indonesia Jakarta and women leadership course certificate from IIM-Bangalore. (brief profile attached)

 

I have been working in public domain on environmental, political, educational, health and governance issues.

I bring to you Hyderabadis, an innocence of boldness and courage, coupled with honesty, and passion for truthfulness, topped with universal love.

We Hyderabadis never ask for moon or stars, all that we ask from  elected representatives, is that they follow law and make our lives livable.  To Give us a non-corrupt governance and show us transparency in governance and be responsive when we challenge or question you.  but alas.

sadly, we find that every class of people face issues when it comes to each one's individual minimum rights.

We are tired of elected representatives who want to be seen as doing something right, rather than they actually doing something right.

My chief premise for contesting is to change the equation.

Power will always be with people and elected  shall serve them duty bound. Hyderabadis deserve a governance that is zero-corruption, zero-pollution, full-transparency, all time responsive and not be afraid of people's questions after being elected.

Having a economic, environment, political and social background i feel that i can turn the Asif nagar GHMC ward into a role model across the country and thus our GHMC into a wellbeing-of-all  city; a zero-corruption, zero-pollution, fully-transparent, accountable, all-time listening and working governance, and stay with people with everybody's wellbeing at heart.

I have recently been profiled by Deccan Chronicle survey for Mayor responsibility for which i thank all the Hyderabadis who recognized my voice as their own, as people's own courageous voice.
