Aurangazeb invades Guttala Begumpet, Hyderabad.
This is tragic & hilarious at the same time.
In 1987, more than 100s people bought plots in this piece of land in Guttala Begumpet.
In 1988 Waqf issued a notification declaring it Waqf land.
Matter went to courts. The courts asked Waqf Board for proof. The Waqf Board submitted that Aurangazeb gifted it to Waqf orally. ORALLY! That is the proof. Oral gift after 400 years! They claim to Aurangazeb grazed his horses there. A Joke ? No. It was the proof submitted to the courts.
And according to current laws, which are specific too waqf and to muslims, that proof is sufficient.
Hilarious & Tragic.
