"Phone tapping case accused Radha Kishan Rao transported cash to BRS MLC Venkatrami Reddy" - Remand Report
According to the Remand Report, Radha Kishan Rao stated that Praneeth Rao was specially chosen by T Prabhakar Rao, then IGP SIB, to head the new Special Operations Team.
This team was created to surveil targeted political leaders and associates of other parties and monitor rebels within the BRS party.
Former DCP Radha Kishan Rao allegedly used Task Force vehicles and police officers to transport cash.
It is also alleged that Radha Kishan Rao instructed Sai Kiran, SI of Central Zone Task Force, to escort a cash transaction involving BRS MLC Venkatrami Reddy.
In the remand report, it is mentioned that, for this purpose, Radha Kishan Rao provided a new iPhone and a new SIM card to Sai Kiran.
It is also mentioned that since Venkatrami Reddy is a childhood friend of Radha Kishan Rao, Rao obliged his request to escort his money for use in the November elections.
As mentioned in the Remand Report, In October 2023, during the election period, Sai Kiran, SI of Central Zone Task Force, transported huge amounts of cash in a government Bolero vehicle from various locations and delivered it to Divya Charan Rao, a retired police officer working at Yashoda Hospital, on two occasions.
