corruption in Telangana State Waqf Board

MEETING WITH TELANGANA WAQF BOARD CEO, JNB (DR.)MOHAMMED ASADULLAH, LLM ON 27.11.2025 AT HIS OFFICE, ON CWC REPORT ON CORRUPTION, WAQF DATABASE, WAQF BOARD & STAFF LIST, SEC.4 RTI IMPLEMENTATION, PENDING RTI APPLICATIONS, ETC. 

Today 27.11.2025, a delegation viz., Adv Dr Lubna Sarwath, Jnb Mubasheruddin, Jnb Nayeemullah Sharif, Prof Anwar Khan, met Jnb (Dr)Mohammed Asadullah, LL.M, Chief Executive Officer, Telangana  State Waqf Board, Hyderabad, at his office.

A copy of CWC Report 2018, that contained detailed report on corruption in Telangana State Waqf Board since 1996, was submitted to the CEO.  We told him that the Central Waqf Council that detailed cases of WB elected member Mutawalli Akbar Nizamuddin and complicity of then Chief Minister Mr K Chandrasekhar Rao, was already given to Mr Chairman TGWB on 24.09.2025, but we do not have reply till date.  The locked Record Room of Waqf was well highlighted and critiqued in the said Report. 

CEO stated that there is a counter filed in 2019 to this Report.  We assured that, we would also study the 2019 report of the 3-member CWC committee by 1 Rais Khan Pathan .2.Adv. Naushad T.O.  3. Wasim Rahatali Khan and submit the response to the CEO, shortly.

RTI applications that are mandatorily to be put up on Telangana waqf board website under Sec.4 of RTI Act, are pending for reply since September 2025 , were brought before the CEO.  He instructed the concerned staff to reply promptly.  

Database of Waqf was discussed on multiple counts. 

List of Waqf Board members is still not put up on the website for public knowledge was urged upon, for action.  Similarly we exhorted that list of staff of Waqf Board, who are paid public servants, is not exempted under RTI  Act as being claimed by the PIO, TG waqf board.  

We thanked the CEO for his no-nonense approach, sincere hardwork , knowledgeable services and expressed our duas that Allah tala bless him with more strength for righteous work bound by ethics and law.  We extended our support in public interest.
